Do you need expert support in documenting torture and human rights violations?

Over past week the IRCT and the Independent Forensic Expert Group (IFEG) experts have been supporting the protesters in Belarus with trainings. Anyone can request training specific to their situation and country context. The training sessions are free and are for everyone (protesters, activists, lawyers, medical professionals, and other human rights defenders) who want to gain or deepen their practical knowledge and get tips from experts who have decades of hands-on experience. The sessions are practical and designed so that participants can apply their new knowledge immediately.

Do you need expert support in documenting torture and human rights violations?

The  training sessions provide practical legal, medical and forensic advice on how to collect evidence and document torture and ill-treatment and related human rights violations in settings of protest and civil unrest. It presents best practices, lessons learned, and tips.

The following areas are covered:
• Documenting evidence of injuries and
• Increasing the evidentiary value of
photos and videos
• Collecting and preserving on-site physical
• Other related topics as requested by
training participants
